Sunny16.net

I originally built this website as a place to host my photos, and as my personal sandbox where I could play with new web technologies. I haven’t kept this site up for the last couple of years because I moved my photos to a hosting service, but it’s back because…I need a job. So take a look around, and if I seem like someone you'd like to have on your team, drop me a line!

Like a lot of people in the industry, I fell into web development by accident when the Web was new. It’s been an interesting ride ever since. Over the past twelve years I’ve become a front-end jack-of-all-trades, working on projects that required expertise in HTML, CSS, some Javascript, a little design but a lot of Photoshop, and SEO best practices.

I can also write and edit: I’ve put my English degree to use in a couple of Assistant Editor positions, in my one freelance article for Salon, and as the author of an entire Wiki on the ins and outs of managing content for my most recent employer.

My two big passions are SLR photography and travel. I mainly use my Nikon kit for shooting nature and landscapes, preferably in places that require a flight to visit. (The photo on this page was taken on a birdwatching outing in Iceland.) I also shoot events and the occasional portrait, like this one. I host my photos on Zenfolio.

Enjoy the site!
